Written by SaveLend | Feb 3, 2023 12:18:00 PM

We leave what is believed to be the poorest month of the year behind us and welcome February.

Here is the average return on lent capital after credit losses and fees for the period of February 2022 to January 2023:

8,22 %

The return figures are regularly updated in our monthly emails.

In this email, you can read the following:

Annual report and tax return assistance

The time to declare taxes is approaching and now the annual report for 2022 can be found under My Account - Reports in the logged-in mode. In the report, you will find all the details about the transactions that took place on your account during the past year.

Will you declare in Sweden? Here is a step-by-step guide on how to declare credit losses:

  1. Log in to the platform, and click on "My Account" at the top right, followed by "Reports".
  2. Select "Annual report Year 2022" in the list and then click on "Export".
  3. You paste the amount you see on the line labelled "Credit losses" in your report into your tax return on form K4, section D (under the heading: "Övriga värdepapper, andra tillgångar (kapitalplaceringar t.ex. råvaror, kryptovalutor) etc.").
  4. In the Beteckning/Valuta column, fill in "SAVELEND" alternatively "SBL FINANS AB (PUBL)".

Remember that credit losses are deductible, so don't miss this to get a better net return for 2022. You can also find the declaration help in our FAQ.

The knowledge test for crowdfunding

Last week we sent out information about the new EU rules for crowdfunding. It is our credits for real estate and rental projects that are affected by the new regulations. To be able to invest in these credits in the future, you need to complete the knowledge test that is now available on the platform.

We will move these credits from the current originator, SKF, to SBL Finans. Previous credits are not affected, but only future credits require a knowledge test. Everyone who is affected by the regulations must start complying with them by November 2023 at the latest. We will return with the exact date for the shift between the originators, but this will probably be sometime before the summer. The fact that the test has already been launched is due to the fact that we want as many of you as possible to have the opportunity to complete the knowledge test before the shift takes place. The test appears when you activate the two new credit types Real Estate Project and Rental Project under SBL Finans in SmartInvest.

Are you aware of our bonus system?

Haven't you missed that we offer a bonus system for our savers? It contains seven levels, in addition to the standard level, and gives you both a reduced service fee and a lower secondary market fee based on how much you have invested or how many shares you own. You only need to meet one of these conditions (invested capital and number of shares owned) to reach a certain bonus level. You can find more information about the bonus levels here
